Building an Arcade System

I'm new to this.

Looking to build my own arcade system. Will be buying a used cabinet and a Jamma 2019 - 1 PCB board.

This is what I think I still need to buy..if I'm missing something please let me know....thank you!

JAMMA Full Cabinet Wiring Harness Loom
Joysticks, pushbuttons, trackball
VGA Monitor - 35 Khz arcade/PC (will this just plug into the board?) Any suggestions on where to buy?
Monitor Bezel
Speakers (any suggestions?)
Coin Door

You can probably setup an older PC to do the same as your multiboard for alot less money.  More flexability with a PC as well.

A bit more work but very customizable and alot better performance for less money.  You can add many more emulators so your choice is much greater than just MAME.  Just look around this board and see how many use XXXX in 1 boards vrs PCs and Xboxs to run their cabs.

Exactly. You could make the decision to choose configuring a PC over all others for strictly the Front-End's GUI choices..

A front-end program like MaLa, Hyperspin, or MAMEUI that allows you to organize and launch games easily.

Windows (icon based, navigate with a mouse clicks) is an example of a Graphical User Interface (GUI), compared to Unix/Linux/DOS. (text based, navigate with keyboard commands)
