Sjaak,
I saw these pictures today, That might be of use when the Bulldozer/Crane's come into play.
Not a whole lot, But you can clearly see how the Crane Arm looks in the picture.
Also the DUMP sign can be seen.

well done for trying to get this done and i hope you guys pull through.

i was going to build a dk cab for some verticle games but i think i will now build one of these as my first machine and have it as a dedicated Fix it Felix jr and then build another dk cab for other games.

Not sure if this is old news.

First time i've seen this. According to the comments he has had this cabinet for over a month now. Would be nice if he could rip the game. But I'm not getting my hopes up.

I remember someone on Hyperspin saying he had created a working copy of the game. He was going to post a video weeks ago, still waiting for that...

His comments say that there is no PCB but a PC inside, highly encrypted to no surprise by Disney.

Risky move linking here from reddit.  From under the radar to the spotlight.

I'd hate to see this go the way of Streets of Rage Remake and Sonic HD.  :'(

Wow! Everyone doing a great job here... not sure how I got hooked into this but I am now! Then I stumbled across this. Would you be willing to build another mini cab?

Thanks!

Good point, i fixed it. Although Disney probably already knows. Just like namco knew about the battle royale.

Very interesting!
I did not know if the ducks were in the Arcade Version or not?
And a big pile of blocks also, You have to jump over!
I wonder if this gentleman will be open to at least copy the documentation
in that packet on the back of the machine.
That would be a great read.

Im all new to the arcade stuff, if you talk to me about cars i can help you.

If i build a cab and then say want to have it as a dedicated fix it felix for instance, can i set it up so i can turn it on from the power point and it loads to the game or will i have to go through a start up menu etc etc?

any links will be appreciated

Hi prostkxy,

The Fix It Felix Jr game is a windows game, so you have to build a pc that starts windows and automatically start the game. There are a lot of threads on this forum that explain stuff like that. Here is a link to get you started.

How exactly does someone acquire the beta for testing? I'm all over stuff like this. It's amazing what people can do when a great deal of effort is put on the table. ^_^

I gave it a spin yesterday, looking really good so far, I managed to run around and fix some windows, I kept jumping out of teh top of the screen, not sure if that is normal or not at the moment, but still it felt good and had the right character and feel,

Good stuff

Been reading the gentlemen's comments who owns the FIX IT FELIX Jr.

http://www.reddit.com/r/cade/comments/17bbtg/my_own_fix_it_felix_jr_arcade_cabinet/

He seems very cool, And aware about the chance of the PC inside the cabinet going "PLUNK" one day.
Says he is going to scan all the paperwork that is with the cabinet.
And is going to attempt to image the HDD in a couple of weeks.

Hats off to him for at least willing to try.

I'm not as impressively hardcore a cabinet-maker as most of you, but I have a fairly simple custom cabinet running Mamewah in my basement that I made as a weekend project.

I registered an account here just to post that I'm extremely enthusiastic about the idea of adding Fix-it Felix Jr. to my cabinet, and to offer my sincere thanks to Sjaak for putting in hard work to make it possible. I greatly look forward to the final product.

I hope he pulls through with the request and makes everything readily available.

If this version of the game does become readily available for everyone to use, hopefully it helps Sjaak to finish his version off so we have a choice of which one we want to play.

If the one in the disney promo machines is leaked, sjaak's version can swing toward the movie version instead.

lol @ people on reddit screaming in all caps for the guy to give them a copy of the hard drive in an arcade machine that's less than a year old.

Lots of requests from the beta testers to do a horizontal and vertical version. New beta is available that allows to set the screen resolution, go fullscreen and rotate the whole thing.

Best way to run the game (no borders, no scaling) is fullscreen on a 4:3 display with a resolution of 640x480. Anyone running this on a cab with a real 4:3 crt?

I recommend donating. This is a very worth while project.

One thing I forgot to add- that cabinet has a joystick encoder, not a keyboard one, so I couldn't run FIFJr with the controls. Will FIFJr be keyboard (encoder) only, or can you add the flexibility to change input types?

Thanks for the pictures, it looks fantastic on a crt. And am exdellent suggestion, there are probably more people with a joystick encoder, so I will add support for joystick.

i just downloaded and played this, so far so good.

apart from the ctrl key and arrow keys are there any other buttons of use in this version?

is felix supposed to die with the falling bricks?

after all the windows in the screen are fixed is ralph meant to go higher up the building?

so for breaking balls.

i just downloaded and played this, so far so good.

apart from the ctrl key and arrow keys are there any other buttons of use in this version?

is felix supposed to die with the falling bricks?

after all the windows in the screen are fixed is ralph meant to go higher up the building?

so for breaking balls.

Try the space bar.

I'm still working on the game logic (climbing, falling, etc). This version is just to see how it performs on different pc's and if there are any installation problems.
