TMC in 10th pls

I like the idea of an accurate version, and a "championship" edition with lots of extras.
If you're replying to a troll you are part of the problem.
I also need to follow this advice. Ignore or report, don't reply.

Contributed! If there is still room, "CAD" for the High Score.

Sorry it took so long to do so, am so glad to see updates. Was a smart idea requesting you make the game. After I saw what you did with the Pac-Man game I knew you would be the best for the job!  :applaud:

Keep the updates coming even if it is trivial, awesome to see a build log of software.

  Cheers!

Awesome project sir!! I had actually begun working a bit on a version of my own for my cabinet but I think it would pale compared with your initial efforts. I had worked with some of the sprites available in DarkBasic just getting the mechanics in. I contributed via PPal today to the project. I would be DOC if it filtered into any score table. I don't know if it's of use to you but I did have a text palette I did. In the past when I've used 8 bit text, I incorporate the letters into a matrix that allows text generation in various colors or have several text sprite sheets in various colors. These are not exact but feel free to use them if they are of any help to you. I had not seen the boot random text screen on here until today. There may be a missing letter or 2 from there. These are a 7x7 bit scale as the ones in the arcade screens available.

I am going back to my Star Trek TOS sim as this project seems in hands more capable than my own.

Again, it rocks that you have decided to pick this up.

I've been working on adding Ralph to the game. I had to create some more animation frames for the move sequence. Next will be the bricks and some game logic.

Wow, that's looking awesome.  You definitely could have a career in game making if you ever wanted to make your own games.  I guarantee that Disney had a team of artists and coders doing what you are doing with a team of 2.

WOW!!!
I just learned about this effort (thanks Buckethead)...INCREDIBLE!

I donated to the project and if there is room still on the High Score list, please add my initials, SRJ.

I am so happy this effort is underway, and look forward to having this recreation in my machine.

THANK YOU EVERYONE, especially Sjaak and Benjamoose!

I wish we could have gotten the actually arcade machine to emulate, but this is shaping up to be just as good - quite possibly better!

Works fine on my high end PC (AMDFX 8150 OC to 4.3 ghz on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit).  I'll have to try it on my arcade PC tomorrow (AMD Dual Core).

edit:  Runs fine on my cab running the AMD Athlon X2 2.8 ghz.

The final version will be full screen and rotated 90 degrees like the arcade version. So you will need to have a vertically oriented cab.

I'll add an option to run it horizontally, but there will be black bars on the left and right.

Did some testing:

-  I'm sure I missed it, but is there an option to run full screen that I missed?
-  Are there plans to have the option to change the default controls?
-  I jumped all the way up to the top of the building (I can hear the jump sounds) and then I'm able to go all the way back down.
-  I'm assuming you will change the way Felix fixes the windows?  Currently he fixes both windows at the same time in this version.  It should be the bottom one first and then the top (2 clicks total).

Great work so far!

I have a question about the sounds as well.  I've seen a whole bunch of different videos but haven't been able to get a good handle on what the intended "window fixed" chime is supposed to sound like.  The one currently being used is kind of chopped off at one end and sounds like a bell.

Was this a placeholder or intended to be the actual sound?

No full screen option yet, mostly for debugging
Default controls can be set in the final version, but not in this one (did you try the ctrl or space bar?)
Yes, felix can jump to the top and he doesn't get killed when hit...still a work in progress
Fixing the whole window is not a bug...check out some of the arcade videos and you will see he fixes a whole window

There's a video in this thread from the movie which also has a bell sound when fixing windows. I still need a better version. If anyone knows what the arcade version window fix sound is, please let me know...
