Control Panel hook clamp latches

You know the hook clamps that hold down the control panel in your machine? The little piece that it hooks onto is called, i think, a "strike." I need a whole bunch of them for my various control panels. I can't find anything even remotely close to it at any hardware store in town, although it seems like it'd be easy enough to find a piece that would work in place of this... but I guess not. Does anyone have a good source for them, or have some they could part with? Below is the specific part I'm talking about, but any L-shaped piece of metal with a square hole cut in it would really do, I'd think... $2.44 a piece seems kinda steep for what they are.

That'd certainly do... But of course they don't seem to sell just the piece I need! They do, a Midway one, for twice as much as that whole latch and loop part. I'll email them. Thanks!

Does anyone have any experience with the Economy Latches for $1.25 from Twisted Quarter? I want to clamp stuff down pretty tight without bending the hooks out of shape, obviously... how light weight are these things?

I think the best clamps would have springs in them for tension.
Otherwise, if you don't install them just perfectly, you need to add shims.
(that's my idea, but I'm new at removable control panels anyway)
