Only thing holding me back from installing groovy mame
« on: December 09, 2012, 09:32:58 am »
I stole my pc from my arcade awhile back, now its time to get it running again.

Two of my favorite features while using hyperspin (or really any windows based emu)

LedBlinky (not sure if i'll like all my buttons non lit, I really liked the fact that the buttons needed to play would light up, instantly letting you know what buttons the game used).

CpWizard (i think thats what is was called, automatically maps controls for all games)

On the plus side, I love the looks for ease of setup and the graphics setup for arcade monitor (mine has a wells 25k).  I remember a lot of that was a nightmare with soft15hz and trying to get everything just right.  Anyone have a work around for more importantly Ledblinky or alternative?

Hi tyson171,

If I understand you right, you mean that LedBlinky and CpWizard don't properly work with GM? I'm asking this because I don't have experience with that software so I'm not sure what the issue really is and how could it be fixed if necessary.
Important note: posts reporting GM issues without a log will be IGNORED.
Steps to create a log:
 - From command line, run: groovymame.exe -v romname >romname.txt
 - Attach resulting romname.txt file to your post, instead of pasting it.

CPWizard does work with GroovyMame.  I've not tried LedBlinky yet.

My apologies,

I was thinking about groovyarcade Linux live cd!  Just realized I can use groovy mame and the CRT emu driver with hyperspin!  Excited now, just need to figure out how to make it all work with my wells 25k arcade monitor!

Think I read that I'll need to use magic resolution and another utility to rebuild all of my resolutions for the games right?  I'll try to figure it out and go from there!
