FS - Two Namco Candy Cabs [Orange City, Iowa]
« on: November 23, 2012, 09:04:29 am »
Lesson Learned: Wheelchairs don't fit under candy cabs no matter what kind of platform one builds.

Hopefully there's someone to give them a good home.
Everything is in good working condition.
Both 29" monitors are bright and crisp with zero burn-in.
Monitors can be rotated, right now one is horizontal and one is vertical.
Both cabinets are JAMMA, one has a one slot Neo Geo board in it.
All hardware/parts are included, just not shown in the picture.
Overall the cabinets are in really good shape as well except:

- One of the plastic control panels has a crack that is easily fixable.
- One of the shrouds that covers the back of the speaker/marquee topper is missing some hunks.
- Joysticks and buttons will need replacing.

So, for $700.00 and a road trip (there's no possible way I can ship) you get:

- Not one, but two Namco Exceleena II (Red) candy cabs w/ 29" monitors
- Neo Geo 150 in 1 cartridge
- KOF 2000 cartridge
- Xevious 3DG PCB

I'd like to sell this as a complete package to keep things as simple as possible.

Might entertain trade possibilities for a dynamo style cab with 25" monitor, cut corner control panel, and slide-out pcb shelf.

Shame I don't live in the US. I'd have been very interested, especially at such a price.
Good luck for your sale. People here shouldn't hesitate !

Wow... these would be a great intro for me into the candy cab world, but as always it's a space/distance/money issue for me.  Best of luck!

wow man, what an amazing chance two candies for such a steal. I don't have room for another, plus I live on the East coast. But hot damn!

you should register at the Shmups forum (shmups.system11.org). That scene is more into candy cabs than here. I bet you'll find someone willing to drive a few hours at least.

Good luck.

I want to bump this for Lance.  Lance worked out a very good deal with me for the cabs, but due to the 1000 mile round trip I am not able to make the deal work on my end.  I just don't have a way to transport them and don't have anybody willing to drive me up there (can't say I blame them).

So, I want to give this a bump and let everybody know that Lance is a pleasure to deal with and I hope somebody can find these cabs a good home.  I also want to apologize to Lance for letting him down on what looked to be a done deal but my ride backed out.

+1 on post them on Shmup and Shoryuken (with a higher price).

Also, if nobody bites on the full cabs, you could probably clear $700 selling the boards, arcadevga, jpac etc. and maybe the CP's.  Then set the cabs out by the curb.

I literally giggled ;D  Original post updated with trade considerations.  Anybody with a shmups account willing to post for me as I can't seem to get registered?

Ha - knew that would get some attention!  Seriously though, you could list two empty candy cabs with monitors on the free to pick up thread for months and possibly not have any takers.

OH, and list on Klov as well.  Several here have an account if you don't want to mess with signing up/getting a recommendation, etc.

Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.
