SNES controller to PC button ques.
« on: October 29, 2003, 10:38:02 pm »
Hi all, my first post here and I hope someone can help me  ;)

I just wired my SNES controller to my pc using the DirectPad Pro method (DB25), and the PPJoy software for XP. It works great except not all the buttons function. X, A, L & R do not work.

In the Control Properties the buttons that light up (functioning) as follows:
Up=6, Dwn=10, Left=11, Right=7, Select=3&5, Start=4&9, Y=1, B=2

I ddint use the diodes, but I am not sure that matters. This is my 1st "hack" and I know little about electronics and interfaces.

Any help would be great, thx.

 ??? the diodes are important. they protect your port from frying itself.

and use NTpad

Thanx for you're help!  ;D I installed the software and all buttons are now functioning. And I am going to get the diodes and fix up the controller as well.

Just curious as to which hack did you follow for these?
