Vintage coin slot/door
« on: November 16, 2012, 12:05:52 pm »
Wow! It's been 7 years since I posted here. Time flies! I'm building a fortune teller cabinet, and hoping to find a source that sells vintage style coin slots. I don't need anything to validate it, I'm planning one a simple chute with a feeler switch for that. I just need the olde timey looking coin slot, any denomination really.

eBay isn't giving me much luck, so I thought the old gang on this forum might have the hook up.

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Thanks. I had come across that one myself. I'm stongly leaning towards stealing one of the door knob plates from my house and slotting it, then using the door knob hole/flange for a started button. Might actually work out well if I can't find that "perfect" antique vending coin slot.

Here's a look at a similar door part for reference to my crazy idea.

Just a simple old-time coin slot like one of these?
