FS: working Robotron boardset
« on: October 29, 2003, 09:31:23 pm »
100% working Robotron board set.  I just had it plugged in tonight to verify it works.  It includes the cpu/video, rom, sound, and controller (i/o) board.  Rev C cpu board.  These would make a nice multi-williams conversion set.  I was keeping these boards for a project, but I don't need them anymore now that I completed my multi-williams cab.

This is an extremely clean boardset, zero battery acid damage.  These boards have never been hacked or modded from what I can tell.  It appears that the only work done on these boards is a few power header pins have had the solder reflowed.  Heh, these boards are in better shape than the Joust boards I used for my own multi-williams cab.   :)

Some pics of the boards:

$240 (shipping to US/Canada included) for all boards.  I will not break up the set and sell them individually.  Please email offers or for shipping quotes to Europe/Australia.

Man, after seeing how nice that multicade came out I am digging pennies out of the couch, but I just don't think there will be enough.  Great work on that cab by the way.  Very slick.

Heh, I would buy a working, clean, unhacked Robotron boardset for $150, too!   In a heartbeat!  :D

Thanks for the comments on my m-w cab, guys.  This thing hardly ever gets turned off...  and I haven't played my MAME cabs in weeks.  Heh, I just can't get enough of having my butt kicked at Defender/Stargate.  The leaf sticks/buttons with this layout make it soooo fun to play.  :)

Having multiple games is just awesome. I have really found that my original games get just as much play as my Mame cabinets do.

In general here is the order of what gets played the most (out of everything that is actually working at the moment).

Victory pinball.
Crystal Castles.
Amazing Mame.
Kangaroo.
Artic Mini.

I imagine Time Pilot will jump pretty high up on the list once I get it going again. (Monitor is pulsing the HV now, and the neck isn't lighting up, may be the flyback).
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

:P  I'm actually trying to convince myself to spend the dough... if someone buys it though, will you please post it here.  Thanks!

I'll post back when it's sold.  I've had a few inquiries from people that are interested, but no $$ yet.  :)

just out of curiosity, could I paypal it with a credit card, or shopping cart it on your site?

guess I could pick it up and store it until I'm ready to build my multi-williams.  :-\

Email or PM me about payment details.  I can take PayPal with a credit card, no problem.  If you would rather not use PayPal, we can work that out, too.
