Switching the actuator on a 8-way to 4-way WICO stick
« on: November 13, 2012, 12:19:29 pm »
I want a 4-way WICO stick.  I have a NOS WICO 8-way and it looks as though I can switch the actuator to transform it into a 4-way.  I am really wanting movement in 4 directions only.  I am inexperienced with this.  Will switching the actuator make it 4-way with only 4 directional movement (I don't want the blind spots), or would I just have to buy a 4-way original WICO?

To have a proper 4-way wico you have to switch the whole base because the 4-way base has a diamond movement pattern and the 8-way base has a round pattern. Just changing the actuator won't do it.

Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.
