Suggestions for Ordering Cocktail Kit?
« on: November 11, 2012, 07:05:10 pm »
My son and I are working on a three-sided cocktail arcade. We don't have the space, equipment or expertise to take on building it ourselves, so I had planned to buy a kit from ArcadeDepot.com and had been in contact with them (they were great and helpful so far), but hadn't ordered yet, since we were still finalizing our control panel layout. But when I went to their site today to finally place my order, it looks like they are down for the foreseeable future due to hurricane damage. :/ So, I'm looking for suggestions:

Should we wait for Arcade Depot to reopen? Any inside scoop on if that's likely to happen or when it might be?

Should we order from another vendor? If so, recommendations on who makes quality three-sided kits that allow customization of the control panels We're in the SF Bay Area, if that helps.

Thanks!

I wouldn't worry too much. Give them some time...cut up some cardboard boxes and try out some mockups. that way by the time they are getting back to work, you'll have a better idea of what you want.

think of it as an excuse to get all crafty.

Since you asked for other vendors... I am pretty happy with my cocktail kit from Mameroom:

Not sure how much customization they will do though...I would recommend having them leave the control panels blank and doing those yourself.  They usually have a free shipping coupon code from time to time too.  I think it was FREESHIP or something.

i have a kit coming from arcade depot also that got delayed due to the hurricane. I am going to wait it out. I have seen one of the kits locally and it is top notch :)
Once the power is back after Sandy/ winter storm I hope to receive my kit :)

Hey, I recently placed an order with Arcade Depot as well and received the message about the Hurricane.  I don't have any contact info though.  Would it be possible to share with me an email or phone number where they could be reached?  Thanks!
