I noticed that in mame 147 many things are slower than before.  I did some f11 frame skip stuff and found our was at 70%  question is, is this most likely to be slow computer?

I have mini atx atom, but quite new.

Don't know about 147 but I can reliably say elevator action 2 is fairly demanding.  It certainly won't play on my Pentium 4.

even though the atom seems fast, it really isn't.

they enabled the multithread so it seem like it has 4 cores. more is better right? nope.

it's okay for a hum drum computer, but in all honesty the atom can barely do hd video.

we have a dozen or so intel D525 boards that we use for jukeboxes.

Every version of mame is slower than the previous version, it is one of the features.
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

So assuming u forgot the [ sarcasm ] tag on the last one, it seems to be a combination of atom + game + as mame gets bigger it gets slower.

However, i must say that on same computer when loading .146 rom with mame 0.146, the frame rate is 95%, so the version does have make a difference.

I have also found a lot of working roms that stopped working in 147.  No replies to my thread on that, however it is getting annoying switching from one front end to another for a bit of mk3
