Wanted: 2 Player button (UK!)
« on: October 23, 2003, 12:23:21 pm »
Just finished my cab, and the 2 player button does not work! Anyone selling one? I do not need the microswitch.. that works fine.

Must be in the UK.

Thanks (i dont want to spend so much ordering from ultimarc, as postage will be too much for 1 item).

What do you mean the button doesn't work? ???
Is the spring missing... Is it sticking?
There's not much there to not work...

Is is not something that can be fixed?

Just curious...
I'm not a freak!...
Oh wait...
Yes I am...

Basically, i was attaching a hinge to the lid of the CP and didnt realise but the screw went right through the button. It still works, but it does stick. The unfourtunate thing is, as i tried to remove the button (i didnt realise the screw had gone through it) it ripped out the top of my CP, causing damage. Its nothing major - thankfully its only noticeable if you really look. But the button keeps sticking.

If no one has one for you, you can always take the button apart & file down the offending burs...

I've had to do this with a couple used buttons to clean them up from some spilled coke (I got them like that, I'm not that much of a klutz)...

just swap the center button into another white button.
If not I have some extra P2 buttons but am in California so s/h will be an issue.
