MAME32 - Losing video in WinXP?
« on: October 16, 2003, 06:14:13 pm »
Okay.. for some reason, starting today... after running MAME32 and playing a game, when I ESC out and come back to Windows, my video is totally trashed.  Can't really see crap, and have to reboot.

I deleted all the .CFG files, and tried... still same problem.

Any ideas?

have you tried refreshing the screen instead of just rebooting?

sounds like you need to just reinstall your video drivers  :)

And how might I "refresh"?  This machine hasn't changed video setup in 2 years.  Dunno why MAME32 would cause problems.

"And how might I "refresh"?

... your kidding right?   :'(

if not then right-click on your desktop (not on an icon or anything ... just an empty spot) and select "Refresh" ... its just below the "Arrange Icons By" option  ;D

To refresh with the screen screwed up try clicking on the desktop (unless your desktop is completely full of icons this shouldn't be too hard) then hit F5. F5 will refresh the desktop and you do not have to navigate any menus etc.
