FS/FT Keywiz Max
« on: October 15, 2003, 10:14:03 pm »
Hi,
I bought this Keywiz from Randy few weeks ago and found out that my botherboard (ECS K7 series - AMD) does not like that. I had posted on the forum for the same issue. Randy gave good support. He also offered to take the return.
I did not want to return to him because, it was not defective, and it is none of his mistakes.
To make long story short,
I have a Keywiz Max which I am willing to sell or trade,
Iam looking for $35(shipped) or an IPAC2 for trade.
Keywiz is not used, and it worked very well when I tested with my Laptop.

Thanks

Sorry I had to laugh at that little typo because the ECS K7 really is a "botherboard".  I have one in my cab too.  It was dirt cheap but didn't like my SDRAM or my weak powersupply.  It cost me more to buy parts that the ECS would work with then it would have just to buy a better motherboard.   Bother bother bother.  Anyway good luck selling your keywiz.

Hehehe, that typo really makes sense, that motherboard bothered me a lot. (specially the SDR slots & on-board sound ).
If you use two SDR DIMMs then it crashes the machines sporadically. (even WIN XP).
On board sound has very feeble volume(hardly audible).
Of course they were cheapest (I paid $35 dollars for the one with on-board sound+lan+video ) apart from those problems, for the price and features it is great for a cab
