Dreamcast controller...
« on: October 15, 2003, 10:09:41 pm »
Did a search and checked the FAQ...

Yes, I have read the oodles of info about hacking a VGA box. What I am hoping to find is a diagram for how to wire a hacked dreamcast controller to my ipac2.

-Would you guys recommend using a terminal strip, or just poking the wires into the ipac?

-Anyone know of a tutorial (With pics) on how to hack a DC controller?

firstly, this should definatly be in the console forum.

secondly why would you want to hack your dc controller to your ipac? to use your dc controller to play games on your pc? if thats the case just buy an adapter from level 6 or somewhere like that.

if you want to hook your arcade controls up to the dc, thatsa differetn story, as wel las if you want both the ipac and the dc controls always hooked up(which iw ould recomend against, its a huge pain, just rig up a quick way to swap controls)

eiher way both of thse have been covered extensively i nthe consoles forum.

good luck

NOt hacking the DC controller into the Ipac, but plugging the DC wires into the ipac so I didn't need to add a terminal strip. (Like I should have done in the first place...)

Nevermind. I found a DC controller hack. Instead of hooking the wires to the common and NO terminals on the button, I wanted to plug them into the ipac spots. (Then, I wouldn't have to redo all of my crimps that connect to the cherry switch terminals...)

If I would have used a terminal strip in the first palce, I wouldn't be having this problem...
