Imperial Trackball Hack-Success!
« on: October 14, 2003, 10:57:02 am »
Hello, all...first-time poster here.

Trying to get controls working before I go whole-hog and build the cab.  Bought an Imperial 3" t.b. from ebay, no PS/2 on it.  Used the instructions on Mamewah homepage to hack it to a Microsoft intellimouse (with wheel), and it worked like a champ!  Just wanted to share with people who understand...I told my wife, and she just looked at me.  Oh, well.

BTW, this is a great message board, well-run, and everyone is helpful.  Thanks for all of your posts!

It took me 2 mice... with a 3rd ready to go...

before I just got some from Oscar... 9 bucks for a hacked one.  I payed 3 for each mouse...  I can't imagine it not being a good deal for most people.

Congrats

I nailed it on the first shot using the same trackball and instructions.

I have pictures of the hack on my site.
