Sega spinner to Wico/Imperial PS2 trackball
« on: October 13, 2003, 04:06:29 am »
Ok dokie. I have both a Sega Tac/Scan spinner assembly, and a nice Wico/Imperial PS2 trackball.

Do you guys think I can piggyback the Tac/Scan spinner onto the trackballs connection with a bit of soldering magic? Or will I have to come up with a separate interface?

Has anyone tried anything like this?
Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

I could be wrong but I believe this would not work (signals will get confused together)...unless you wire in a DPDT switch to manually switch between trackball / spinner.  See how Oscar did it at http://www.oscarcontrols.com/DPDTswitch.shtml .
