Molex connector or diode or other?
« on: October 12, 2003, 08:03:23 pm »
I posted this in consoles first but never got an answer so I thought I would try here. I'm using the hangstrom encoder with breakout boards and want to connect my dc or other consoles. Now I know there has been great discussion about the diode or molex options but they have both involved an ipac. Can I still make one of those two connection with my hagstrom encoder? Is there a better option?
Thanks in advance

I'm 95% sure that it should work with your hagstrom.  There's not too much difference between ipac and hagstrom electrically (at least when it comes to the input).

The diode option is a general fix-it, it works with keyboard hacking or controller and ipac hookups to prevent ghosting.  It should be the same with the hagstrom.

The molex connector is 100% sure to work.  Because, the act of unplugging from one and plugging into the other means that there's no interference electrically.

As for the better option, one is more work to set up (diodes) and the other is more work to swap (molex)
There is SO a spoon.
