Advice on paint type
« on: October 19, 2012, 10:26:20 am »
Hello,
I've got a friend who has access to a paint spraying booth and he's going to spray my cabinet (well, the sides - I'll probably do the inside black myself with a low sheen black gloss and foam roller).

I'm not too clued up on paints, but given he'll be adding a shiny lacquer (clear, whatever you want to call it) finish on top of the paint, does it matter whether I get a gloss, matt or mid-sheen paint or whether it is oil or water based (gloss, acrylic, latex, etc), ignoring thinning, etc?

thanks.
