Need help finding hardware and materials for slot machine
« on: October 17, 2012, 12:22:37 am »
I want to build two type's of slot machine's...

For both of these machines, I would like to use coin dispensers of some sort which dispenses quarters if hit.

First I want to build a video poker type thing which will probally be easier to program then the regular slot machine in terms of overall building and price wise.

The second type deal I would like to do is make a spin reel where they pull a lever and it spin's (not sure if casino's are actually real spinning on an axel or if they just look like they do on a screen). If they do on a screen. I can program it myself.

A little background about myself, I have been programming since visual basic 3.0. Now I am a freelance web developer. I also have an old PC with windows XP on it for the video poker project and that "thing where you solder the wires and plug into the usb port for buttons to simulate the button presses" if someone could tell me what that thing is called again. id apreciate it.

If someone could point me in the right direction of what materials I would need to build a video poker machine with a coin dispenser or a tutorial, that be AWESOME. I couldn't find one on this site.

The thing that makes button presses is called a keyboard encoder.

Acceptance of Zen philosophy is marred slightly by the nagging thought that if all things are interconnected, then all things must be in some way involved with Pauly Shore.

Happ Controls is the world's largest amusement, gaming, and vending machine parts supplier out there.

You could also check with the vendors at the New Life Games slot machine website.

8 Line Supply deals specifically with "8 Liner" type games, like you find in bars and such.

User seems like a drive by new user. Posted his thread 4 days ago and hasn't been active since then.

I'd guess the guy is trolling for builders of unlicensed gambling equipment.

My recommendation is to go out and my some masque software like "little green men" or "texas tea".
