Why don't you offer to buy them from him then drive to his place and get them then?

I'm not down for the "shock value" burn videos, it doesn't amuse me, but he's running a business parting out old machines.  I really really doubt he would refuse to sell you one.  If he can't sell them, and there's not a reasonable outlet for donations (I doubt Goodwill wants old stripped-out arcade cabinets), then they're just waste from his business.  Throw them away, or burn them, doesn't really matter once they are deemed waste/scrap.

If they can be monetized or reasonably donated that's different.  Make him an offer.  True he is trying to monetize them ever so slightly by turning it into a marketing angle, though I personally think it's a bit off target to do so... I think more of his customers would be into the preservation of such things and would fail to see the humor here, like you did.  But it's not like he's doing this just to get some sort of apocalyptic nerd boner.  (I don't think).

He needs to offer them for free on Craigslist before he burns them, people would perserve them. And I know a lot of people looking for the cabs he built. Don't try to tell me there was nothing else he could of done..

When you guys accept this kind of ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- others will follow and try to make a quick buck and treat these antique pieces of history like trash as well.
Accepting this kind of behavior is precisely what is going to lead to the extinction of arcades sooner than it should be. I dont know about you, but I would like to collect these for atleast another 5 years before they get too expensive to purchase because of ass hates like this guy. Is anyone going to agree, or are we all just going to accept this behavior?

Anyways, man, sorry I didnt mean to get so upset. But man, PLEASE stop. Offer them on CL, do anything before doing that. Keep the videos you have, isn't that enough?
You got your unique marketing angle man. You got everyones attention.. But I personally know people who would have paid for those cabinets...

OK, you just went from "he NEEDS to offer them on Craigslist" to asking him to please stop.  There's a huge difference.  They're his property.  You can ASK him to offer them on Craigslist, or ASK him to donate them somewhere, or you can offer him money.  But it's not up to you to say "he needs" to do anything, or call him an ass hat(e), or try to dump anything on "you guys" (like me) for "accepting this kind of behavior".

It's not up to me to accept it or not accept it.  It not like he's a child molester, it's his property and he's within his legal rights.  I don't enjoy the pics/vids myself, and I agree it's a waste.  But yeah, SUGGEST to him that he try to preserve them, give him some alternatives, point those people you know who would have paid for them to his site.

Or, you know, just don't buy stuff from him.  I haven't.  Pass the word around, but it can be done without making a bigger deal about it than it really is:

"Did you know that there's a guy that sells old arcade parts but he burns up the cabinets when he's done?"

"Oh man that sucks."

"Yeah I'm not gonna buy anything from him."

"Yeah, I wouldn't either!"

So there ya go.

Just to play devil's advocate, but I'm pretty sure the cabinets that he's buring probably aren't worth anything. I mean, if they were, I'm pretty sure he'd try to get something out of it. I bet if you went and took a close look at them, there's water damage, rot, etc.

You may not like him buring the cabs, but I'm pretty sure he's not torching mint Donkey Kongs, either.

They are worth something. There are people that would pay money for those. Not a lot, but that's not the point. These should be preserved.
And he should give them out for free before burning them or junking them.

This guy just guts cabinets and burns them because it's easy.

Eh, I know people destroy cabs... I burned a rat-infested one myself once... but the idea of linking to pics in his post... he knows what he is doing, trying to get people riled up. If he wants to be the Limp Bizkit of vendors, that is fine, but I will probably throw my money at the sellers who get attention by contributing to the forum. I don't think he will change his ways so better just to let him bump this thread himself when or if he comes back around here.
