Does the ultrastik work on tablets
« on: September 24, 2012, 11:56:53 pm »
I've got a recent android tablet running ICS and a spare ultrastik that I'm not currently using. I want to build a an arcade stick with a built in stand to hold
the tablet, but I'm not sure if the ultrastik will be recognised as a generic usb
gamepad by the android operating system.

Search didn't turn up anything and I'm not able to test it out for myself unfortunatly.

I have heard from a couple of customers that this does work.

How can you not test it if you have the parts right there?

Inability to plug things in is a disease that infects a rather large portion of our culture.

How can you not test it if you have the parts right there?

Well, Andy pretty much answered my question.

I don't have it with me at the moment.
I'm an OTR truck driver and I just got a new tablet. I won't be able to test it untill
I get home sometime next week.

I just wanted a project to consume my down time while over the road.
something arcadey, yet small enough to bring in the truck with me that
co-exist with the megatouch evo I have with me.

Yep, I lost my job in a management change (new company took over and they let me go on the first day because "they didn't have the budget for me". In the 12 years I was there I missed about 5 whole days and was late twice (once from a stolen car and once because of a police block). My wife was pregnant when I lost my job. Now I am home watching my daughter until I can find a job better than my wife's, at which point she will come home instead.

Yep, I am a real non-contributing member of society.

Of course I probably shouldn't dish it out if I don't want it back!  ;D ;D
