Review: Pixelhugger's BYOAC hat
« on: October 09, 2003, 09:49:55 pm »
*cue safety dance music*

The hat arrived well packaged.  An ingenius re-use of free fed ex bubble mailer inserted into a plain manilla mailing envelope ensured that my hat arrived at my door stop in tact.

The hat itself seems pretty well made and adjustment of the strap to fit my head went smoothly.  The embroidery is tightly stitched and looks very sharp.

The hat passed the mug test and the brim conformed well to the desired radius curve.

I think of course I could have built my own hat for much less than 12.95 plus shipping....   thread only costs like 99 cents a spool, and a needle can't be that much, ....

Useless test department:  The byoac hat frisbee'd further than my older hat

#### of course I'm kidding ... was going for a mock-review complete with kevin steele intro song...

I love my hat... thanks again pixelhugger for the design (although people do think it's a fricken lolly pop) and effort to put the whole thing together... you're da man now dog

I also wanted to mock the "I coulda built x, y, or Z for sooo much cheaper" crowd, a bit =P

*shrug* return to your regularly scheduled threads...

LOL - can't wait for the video review.  ;)

I should really get one, as its probably the only thing I can get sent to New Zealand without having to sell a kidney to cover the  shipping costs.
Never get into fights with ugly people - they have nothing to lose.

Ack, I can't believe I clicked that......

I DO like the hats, but it really does look like a lollypop to the uninitiated... which is 99% of the population.  ;D I still may get one though.
If you build a frankenpanel, chances are I don't care for you as a person.

I must say I love my hat.  I used a super casual day (think Office Space) as an excuse to wear it to work.  I received a lot of compliments.
Now if my wife will stop singing the "lollie pop guild" when I wear it around her.
 ;D
