Rom not appearing in MaLa
« on: September 19, 2012, 03:53:21 pm »
A specific ROM which appears in MAME32 and plays correctly, is not listed in MaLa.

The "version" listed in MaLa with a different ROM name does not work.

Any idea why this might happen?  Any way to force a ROM to appear in MaLa? Can I edit the mlg file to change the non-working name to the right one?  It seems the file has lots of out of range characters when i open in text editor, so worried I might mess is up.

Any help appreciated!

Dave

Dave:

Just open up the MaLa gameslist editor.

Drag a clone or any rom for that matter from the all games list into your MLG file.
Right click on the rom you just added, update the rompath and/or name as necessary
Save your MLG file

Should work fine, I do it all the time
