Any help would be greatly appreciated but it looks like I just have to recombine the wires macguyver style until I can afford a new set of wires.

Yeah, that isn't really a big problem, and I am fairly sure you could put a new connector on those wires for less than $5.

When I get home tonight I'll post up the connections from my stick.  As long as the wire colors are the same it should work for ya.

I have another hour and I could go get some parts right now :D Im excited to do it so if you could post it I wouldn't mind doing this asap. If you can be detailed Ill hit up the chop shop and get some parts :D I cut the sheet off and plan to tape up and possibly grab a cheap soldering tool to work with.

Sounds good sir! :D

Hello and welcome,
Were these your kids or some bully kids just breaking your stuff  :o

You'd  be best off to butt splice the broken wires together (red to red, black to black, etc.)
http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R-202522158/h_d2/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10053&langId=-1&keyword=splice&storeId=10051
with this, you would strip the end of each wire and stick each end in one side of the butt splice and then crimp the middle area with a pair of crimpers like these: http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1v/R-202959085/h_d2/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10053&langId=-1&keyword=crimper&storeId=10051

or depending on available length on the wire, you can try these simple phone splices available at Home depot or Lowes.

For crimping small wires like this, I recommend using Radio Shack P/N 64-3073 telephone/alarm connectors.

Looks like two of the wires pulled out of the pins.

Does anyone recognize the series connector so positivelydetermined can get the right pins?

They claim it's indestructible and has an UNLIMITED lifetime warranty.  Call x-arcade.  They might send you a cable for free.

or you can just get an ipac and plug the wires into that.. Its a much better controller than what comes in the xarcade. Thats what I did. Just an option  :)
Cabs: Tron, MKII, MK4, KI2, Blitz99, TMNT, Pac-Mania, Defender, Mame Box.
PCBs: MK1, UMK3, Killer Instinct, Area51, Sunset Riders, Pit Fighter, Wargods.
Pins: Bride of PinBot, Attack from Mars, The Shadow

X-Arcade Wiring Solution $5
« Reply #9 on: September 20, 2012, 04:12:01 pm »
Since it was damaged from misuse, we do have a solution for $5 to replace all the cables for situations just like this. As you can see, it's just about cost for the all the kit, so hope this helps

Sorry I didn't get the pinout to ya, family stuff happened.   :dizzy:  But $5 for a brand new harness aint bad.  I'd go that route instead of trying to repair.

Now that he can fix it for $5, let's hear the truth about how it got this damage.

It was in my kids room and they decided to swing it around as if it was some sort of mace lol. We used it a lot until recently when I left it in their room again and a few wires got pulled out. I had it since 2007 bought it for my son's birthday lol.
