60s style homemade jukebox
« on: September 11, 2012, 05:35:39 pm »
started another jukebox project.

using the top from a jupiter 2000 i created my own cabinet.

firstly i dismantled everything and gave it a clean.

then cut the sides for the cab and assembled using brads nails and glue.

put the original parts back together as two parts, the backbox is fixed to the cabinet, with a metal
rod welded onto the release catches for the lift up glass, the rod then comes underneath by the monitor
and with a gentle pull releases the catches.

with the top glass its attached with regular hinges at the back and lifts straight up.

ive made a custom keypad using a keyboard and fixed to the front panel.
the square cutout is where the volume control panel is going.

and thats where im at after a couple days.  :afro:
