Gallag to 60-in-1 wiring help
« on: September 08, 2012, 10:10:22 pm »
So I bought a Pac-Man Cabinet, Which someone converted to a gallag. This is my first Arcade Project, And I can't figure out how to make the screen connect to the 60-in-1 board. I've attached a few pictures if anyone can give me some tips that would be fantastic, And sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong board, I'm new here.
<-board and 60-in-1 to pac-man attachment and jamma harness
<- cable that was connected to gallag board from monitor
<- Galagg Board, Is the any mods or anything on it?, Whats it worth? (it works 100%)
If you need anymore pictures just ask, I'll reply as fast as I can

hello and welcome,
the signals to drive your monitor are present on the 60-in-1 jamma board. you will need to pin them out so you know where they go to on your adaptor. then you will need to remove the wires from that plug and get them onto the harness with the others.

here is the jamma pinout, you are looking for the video signals (red, green, blue, video ground adn sync).
http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://image.pinout.net/pinout_audio_files/jamma-pinout.gif&imgrefurl=http://image.pinout.net/pinout_image.php?q%3Dpinout&h=480&w=493&sz=10&tbnid=6TBYvOEJZ1o23M:&tbnh=90&tbnw=92&prev=/search%3Fq%3Djamma%2Bpinout%26tbm%3Disch%26tbo%3Du&zoom=1&q=jamma+pinout&usg=__YbY439ylwbpuSBgn1Fm9gnSAlF0=&docid=UcvWbFTDGT7LWM&hl=en&sa=X&ei=wAdMUP3gM6Sw0AH_h4DAAg&sqi=2&ved=0CCYQ9QEwAQ&dur=0

you maay wanna post some pics of the monitor chassis boards in order to id what brand it is.

I don't think Galagg is worth much, its a bootleg of Galaga

Thanks for the help, I'm not really worried about the other wiring, just the monitor. After I finish it the rest should be easy, Which wires are what?, It's dark in my game room so pictures aren't the best, any info, or tips or anything would be really appreciated

Thats a pretty terrible pic of the monitor board but it appears that you have daughter boards there so it looks to be a wells gardner 4600.

you can verify that by going to www.therealbobroberts.net and going to the monitor id page and look up the wg4600.
there are pdf manuals of that monitor online so you can id which line is which.

I'm not sure what other wiring you're talking about. all I mentioned was the wiring for the monitor signals.
