Swapping green stick for red on a Fanta arcade joystick
« on: September 05, 2012, 09:56:40 pm »
Hi folks,

I bought some of these sticks below and am wanting to change colour scheme on control panel.

1. Is it possible to change just the stick without having to buy a whole new joystick unit?
2. If it is where would I get them from, iv searched the net and can only find the green ones I actually want red handles.

Received update from website I bought them from and been told they used to produce them in red years ago but they stopped doing them now. They suggested I spray the sticks and to use red rubber coating sprays to add a top coat. Have any of you guys done this? And could you let me know what results you got.

The topic of the rubber coatings has come up before -- sometimes seriously, sometimes not so seriously.

The general consensus IIRC is that it's probably not going to last long on a joystick, but not sure if anyone has actually tested the stuff and posted results.
