FS: Killer Instinct 2 cabinet / Mame project
« on: September 03, 2012, 05:32:35 pm »
For sale is a Killer Instinct 2 cabinet with monitor. It was an UltraCade machine when I bought it. I have been working on converting it to a Mame system for the last 2 years but I've grown frustrated and I'm ready to move on. Plus I am moving and need to clear the clutter. Your choice to finish the mame conversion or convert it back to Killer Instinct 2. Side art is in decent shape but you would need KI2 front art, control panel art, and marque.

It has a computer installed with HyperSpin and thousands of Mame Roms. It also has a J-pac so the computer plugs right in to the existing JAMMA wiring. Computer also has a Arcade VGA AGP video card so it's compatible with the existing arcade monitor. Control panel has a Mag-Stick plus installed in the player one spot so you can switch between 4-way and 8-way. Coin slots converted to light up buttons. I also have the original computer video card and Hyperspin/mame instal DVD's I got on Ebay.

Known issues: Monitor has some wavy lines in it (see picture). It may just need a cap kit or power supply adjustment. Player 2 buttons 4-6 don't work. They are wired up but I haven't trouble-shot why they don't work. Coin buttons work but I have not wired them up to light up. Speakers work but it needs a small amp to power them. No Marque.

Purchase options:

Everything included: $450

Cabinet with monitor only: $300

Pieces and parts: make me an offer
