textured viynl adhesive for control panel

Hey guys,

Recently I completed my projected and have been playing a lot on my unit, I went with polycarb overlay on the control panel, and though it looks great while clean it seems to get dirty too fast and scratched to easy.

Company’s like gameongrafix sell CP overlays that are a textured vinyl adhesive that I hear seems to be pretty tough. I don’t want to design my own control panel overlay and just want to get this material in a plain black if I could.

Does anyone know the proper name or where I can source this? Or perhaps know of material that is similar?

thats a pretty good idea actually, the price isn`t that bad either!

anyone else got an other suggestions, something maybe with an adhesive backing?

I can't say enough good things about my gameongrafix cpo. Its super durable and holds up great.

gameongrafix has plenty of multi-game and single color self adhesive cpos so you don't need to design your art work.

This is what you are looking for.  I've used it quite a bit, as have others, and it works pretty well.

Amazon has this in different textures/woodgrain patterns. 

Search on "dayton audio laminate" for list of 5 options.

Thanks guys I decided to go with a plain black cpo overlay from game on grafix and ordered a marquee aswell, should turn out nicely I hope. Now I just have to wait for them to arrive.

In the past when going cheap I have used the textured black speaker box cover (just ran out of the roll I bought 10 years ago) and for totally flat panels I have used rubber textured hallway runner material from the hardware store.

I'm a big fan of Happ's 'pica' vinyl.  Sticks very well and is easy to clean and is textured.
