Finally shopped Jacks to Open
« on: August 27, 2012, 10:21:34 pm »
I've got three people that have expressed an interest in buying this and this was one I got working very quickly and really didn't NEED much to be playable.

Finally put new rubber on it, cleaned the plastics, took apart and cleaned the flipper sleeves and plungers.  Put shims in the blown out holes and got the metal bars back in place behind the drops (had previously just done two rubbers back there).  Gave it a slight (2-3mm) amount of additional slope on the backlegs.  Found the switch that was gapped too close together and causing the sounds to randomly go bonkers.

Heck of a lot more pop to it.  Wife comes out and plays it, "this plays like a different game... I'm not sure this is for sale anymore..."

Gotta work with the little lady.  I don't necessarily seek input when a pin comes in, but my wife's got to be on board before anything leaves.

I would have a field day with that bounce-in outlane post.  after wrapping some electrical tape around the tilt bob.  Can you work those things pretty good?

I stepped into Jack's for the first time today and it's a pretty nice store - good selection of items and nicely organized.  I ended up buying two pairs of sandals and some new sunglasses.
