What type/size bits do I need?
« on: August 23, 2012, 08:45:04 pm »
I have some hand me down router bits, but I want to buy a right size bits for cabinet building.  What type and size bits do you all recommend?  I figure I need 1/16" slot cutter and 1" flush trim bit at the minimum.  What else would I need?

Also, what do you recommend using to drill holes for the joystick/buttons? Forstner bit or Spade bit? Any advantages using one over the other?  Forstner bit will allow me to drill partial holes for door latches right?  What size bits do I need for Happ joystick and GGG Prime pushbuttons?

1-1/8" is the correct size bit for these.

For wood, spade bits, forstner bits, or hole saws will all work.

For information on drilling plexi, check out Selfie's stickied thread.
