Arcade in Myrtle Beach, SC?
« on: August 23, 2012, 07:35:20 pm »
I'm traveling there next week. Does anyone know if there is a good arcade there? I would prefer something with more old school video games if that still exists. Not really looking for a chuck e cheese "ticket" type of place but anything you can recommend would be awesome.

ill be there in 2 weeks. I usually go on the main strip down on ocean blvd. by Ripleys belive it or Not, there are a few arcades in walking distance only classics they have is a few multicades, hopefully they got some new ones in the last year. I would be happy to see a multi williams. Also NASCAR park has a donkey kong multi, millipede multi and i think MK3

Call me Mr. Bubble Burster, but I was just there 4 weeks ago, and while I wasn't on a *hunt* for arcade games to play, I am always on the look out.  I really didn't see much worth writing home about.  Anything of interest was broken or unplugged.  I didn't try NASCAR park.

I was at MB a month ago, but didn't go to the strip/pavilion area.  I did go to nascar - no classics whatsoever.  redemption, skee ball and crazy taxi/nascar/other newer drivers only.  No pins.

At the movie theater at inlet square mall there's a Transformers LE pin and several other new nice non redemption shooter and driver games and a super nice air hockey fullsized.  nobody is ever there.  That is a good one for the tired of the beach afternoon chill.

Garden City arcade (right across from the Pier, 15 min south of MB) has 2 mostly working stern pins and some classics and multigames.  they also have a graveyard of plenty of nonworking classics upstairs.  The pier arcade has nothing of interest.  (except beer)

Unless there's something good on the strip, the rest of MB is a wasteland for classic vids.
