I'm going to be putting together a new project. I have a question, though.
Which would you recommend? Two individual boxes (one per player), or one combined box for both players? What are the pros and cons of each?
Two individuals
Pros:
No sense of feeling cramped together. Each player has as much elbow room as they desire
Ease of transport. Two smaller boxes easier than one large, cumbersome box.
Easier wire management within each box.
Cons:
More materials involved
Stability issues?
One combined box:
Pros:
Just one box to carry, all parts are together.
More stability, as it is larger
Cons:
Cramped feeling (whether or not it actually exists)
It's one large box, meaning more cumbersome.
As it stands, I would like to make individualized panels. However, I am concerned about one thing, and I touched on it above. When you have individual boxes, are they hard to keep straight? When you're moving left then right and all sorts of directions and rapping on those buttons, is the entire box moving with you? If so, how do you eliminate/minimize this? Can single stand-alone panels be held on the legs and kept stable? Should they be kept on the table with rubber feet?
