I'm necro'ing this thread because it seems so thorough already...

Will the UILA LED fit into the Sanwa OBS(F/C)30? I've never seen Semitsu buttons in person so I don't know if they're similar to the Sanwas.

Missed this thread the first time around, but there's some awesome info here.  Thanks!

So once again, we find that evil of the past seeps into the present like salad dressing through cheap wax paper, mixing memory and desire.

Today I learned the hard way that the Uila's in fact do NOT fit into the Sanwa buttons without doing some modifications to shorten the plunger. Just throwing that out there-

The Uila S should fit if you line RGB leds up with the open spot in the plunger.  The Uila S flash can fit the same way, however you may need to take modify the back of the latch on the plunger depending on the solder for the flash lamp.

When will the Uila budgets be back in stock? I've been waiting for four months now! I've been in contact with Susan about it, but after her last email (March 22) I have not heard back from her anymore. I really want to finish my control panel  :)

Yeah the Uila S is what I have, I lined up the LED in the gap, but the issue is mostly that the pcb itself is too thick to allow the plunger to compress the switch cleanly. I need to sand down the perimeter of the plunger to compensate for the space the pcb takes up.

how do you install pele rings?
at first i thought it was inbetween the control panel and the nut... but the nut gets in the way... there is no room for it especially if the led is meant to be up against the button. the only images i could find was a stick that hot glued them in place.... dont think thats how they are meant to be installed

Depends on what you are using them with.  On IL buttons the should go between the nut and cp.

yeah its for IL buttons. I tried in between the nut and cp and after forcing it a bit, it fit.
Looking at the way the leds sit would mean that the light bleeds into other buttons if they are lit up as different colours? Whats the most effective way to handle this?
