ELO TouchSystems 1928L - 19" LCD Touch Monitor

Says its mainly made for the medical field ... Would this be good for a jukebox , running windows xp or 7 and using ETOUCH / Freeboxjukebox.com ???

The monitor is used, would it be plug and play? or would need to find drivers to communicate the computer with the Monitor?

I cant say about this particular monitor, but I have used ELO touchscreens and they worked good for me with XP.
The monitor will most likely need a driver for the touch part, and these should be free off the net.

Thanks Ed.

For under $100 it seemed like a good buy to me, seems ELO has different technologies in their monitors, and this one was built toward the Medical Field so i just wanted to make sure it was still good for a Jukebox Screen

Elographics was founded in 1971 and invented touchscreen overlay technology and was acquired by Tyco Electronics Corporation in 1999.  The Gores Group, an investment firm based in Los Angeles, California completed the acquisition of the Elo Touch Solutions business from TE Connectivity in June 2012.

Tyco changed things around a bit, but it was for the better. Most controllers (same formats) are pretty much interchangeable anyways.

we exclusively use ELO mainly because the overlays are cheap enough to replace when they get busted and the driver emulates mouse clicks pretty good.
