CD-100C won't play a CD
« on: June 30, 2012, 03:24:07 pm »
OK I fixed my original problems of not picking up a CD and now it does that fine.  However it won't play one.  I have known good CCC and Mech/Decoders in the box now thanks to Bruce Wentworth.

I put some new CD's in and went to initilize them and the box went through them all but doesn't recognize any.  Once it finished and I tried to play a Cd it said not allowed.  The CD was only on the player for about 5 seconds for each one.  At this point I'm assuming the CD Player is bad.  Anyway to check it out?  It is a CDM3 Player.  Where can I get a reasonably priced replacement?

Thanks
Larry

Shipping something from the U.S. to Canada for repair/exchange?  Please use USPS to avoid (additional?/excessive?) shipping charges.  PM me if you have any questions.

if by reasonably priced you mean if you can find a laser unit for one for under $300 then no.

Iv'e sold several of these. Most people buy them to replace broken cd units.
