As I was sitting down showing my artwork for the cabinet to my mother, telling her my favorite style of Joysticks, she challenged me by saying "Well, what type of Joystick would be best for the cabinet?". I admit to her that I know that Sanwa does a great job with the JLF. However, I also at the same time really like the GGG Smoothstick, due to the fact that it's a modified HAPP joystick that's been modified to even work better than a standard HAPP joystick(and I tend to like the american-style parts the most, probably because I got use to using them in the arcades). So, which one would recommend more, the Sanwa JLF or the GGG Smoothstick? If the Sanwa JLF is your recommendation, what interface do you recommend I use that would work best with the Sanwa JLF? NOTE: I'll be using the joystick for fighting games on my bartop cabinet(which will begin being built in mid-late September or early October for sure).

I believe the JLF is considered the way to go for fighting games.

Actually i never seen the smooth stick from GGG. Im might upgrade my HAPP Comps. IF it between Comps and Jfl HAPP all the way if i had jfl i would of snapped them in half by now! Especially for fighting games But if you like the JFL they wouldnt be that bad for a bartop! Did you ever try them out before (jfl's) If your use to the HAPP's you will not like the JAP's :laugh2:

Thank you for helping me out. I agree with you, the JLF's are kind of flimsy, and feel kind of cheap compared to the HAPP Joysticks.

If your use to the HAPP's you will not like the JAP's

That reminds me of something my grandmother would say. She's the ultra-patriotic type that says, "Buy American!", and complains about the Japanese bombing Pearl Harbor(yeah, she's always watching stuff on TV about World War II).

Anyhow, the GG Stick is my choice! Thank you guys for helping me out.  :)

Yeah, she always has crazy stuff to say. My grandmother's Greek. However, if they're was a Greek arcade parts manufacturer, she'd probably say, "Buy the Greek joysticks! Because Greece is in debt!".

Thank you very much. I'll probably go with the Sanwa JLF or the IL Euro Stick, and buy a Lono 2 interface.

I decided that the Joystick I'm going to use is the IL Euro Stick, only with IL Convex buttons. Since I'll be purchasing all of these parts from Paradise Arcade Shop, I'll be using a Xin Mo 1 player interface. I'll also be using the LED pushbuttons with the inserts inside of them as admin buttons(I'll be using at least 5 buttons, since it's a one-player bartop). Just wanted to know, would I also need the red and black daisy chain wires to use to connect and produce the light inside of LED chrome pushbuttons?

After doing a quick google search, I discovered that the Sanwa JLF with OBSF Pushbuttons is the best choice for a fighting game cabinet. What I would like to know now is, what interface would work best with the Sanwa JLF and the OBSF pushbuttons?
