I have an old arcade upright which I've been slowly MAMEING over the last 18 months or so
I got the arcade monitor repaired ages ago..
Acquired a JAMA harness adapter & ArcadeVGA from ultimarc,
rebuilt the control panel (with help!) to emulate Doc's Modular Mame console.
Today I've spent the afternoon wiring up the control panel and slotted in the arcade monitor. With a few minutes more work I could plan some games with the PC sitting out the back of the arcade unit.
That's when I noticed that somehow over the last 12 months or so, the yoke has been broken.
SCRATCH one arcade monitor

So now I've got to replace the monitor. I don't know easy it will be to find a reasonably price arcade monitor
The other option I suppose is to use a LCD panel, and get rid of my ArcadeVGA, raster based light guns and decide whether to strip out the current wiring harness and completely re-wire the internals, which would mean that I could make heaps more room internally for the PC, or keep the current wiring harness and use the JAMA interface (I've got an IPac2 somewhere....)
Oh well, looks like my MAME project got put back onto the back burner. Again....
Any thoughts about stripping out the harness? Or places to try for a decent Arcade monitor?

I'm in Adelaide....
