Player two will not work on the 194X games

Trying to play 1941 on mame .141 and the two player start button will not recognize.  It will not allow player two to join the game.  I mapped the controls correctly but it does not recognize.  Any reason why?  Wjen i load with coins i do get Coinlock Disable Coin 2.  Any ideas?

Just switch it to free play on the dip switches.  Not sure why the second coin isn't working for you.
