WTB: Non Optical USB Mice
« on: October 03, 2003, 12:31:44 pm »
I'm looking for more than a few Non-Optical USB Mice...I've checked a few web sites, (the one with the $.99 barbie mice comes to mind) but unfortunatly it looks like all the other mamers bought them all... ;D

Does anybody else have another resource for them that I might be able to tap into?  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Phil

Ok...I found this on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2755988525&category=23156

The joke to this auction and the other 2 "companies" that this group has $1.00 mice for is that the first mouse is $6.95 to ship and $5.00 for each additional mouse.....WTF?!?!?  :o >:( This is a classic example of a suckers bid.

Good god.....it looks like i'm gonna be hosed for a smokin' deal...

You could check out the mice on http://www.pricewatch.com

I looked at a couple of usb mice.  There was one from netpcshopper.com whose "max total cost price + max shipping" was $8.00 for a $2.00 mouse - when I placed an order for 20 of them, the total fell under $50.00 including shipping.

Those $2 mice look alot like the barbie mice but without the styling. Probably a good bet to say they are easily hackable.

Holy qbert, you're right!  I've got a Barbie mouse in front of me, and it's the same...  The silver paint job, the concave left mouse button.  The only difference is that mine has pretty flowers.

The web site calls it a "generic As2380".  The model no. for the Barbie mouse is 2380.  Sweet!

By the way, here's my page with some details on how to hack one of these wonderful mice:

Feel free to email/pm me if you need more details.
