You forgot wealthy.

I love playing pinball plain and simple, so I really don't care how much everyone shits on Stern and JJ. I am always excited to see new games rolling out.

Better X-Men than Buddy Holly or Styx.

  :laugh2:

But seriously, Im having fum imagining an Epic Mr.Roboto themed pin. (funny enough, many Styx fans say its their least fav tune... but IDK, its pretty catchy to my ears :)  )   Has to have +mp3 quality music rip though...  and some multicolor DJ beam lights on top, and a fog machine...

 :)

The xmen movies were alright.. but personally, the superhero stuff really doesnt do much for me...  With Exception to Batman, and they pooched that theme too.

Don't even have to be wealthy.  Not too many expenses when you wear 20 year old clothes, live with your mom, and scam social security.  I've met way more collectors like that than you'd ever guess was possible.

What are you waiting for, a Masterpiece Theater theme?  :lol

They've been posting pics of it on facebook today. Not exactly sure what's going on in the before/after playfield pics.

I have to say... that looks SOOOOOO much better with actual comic art, than those horrible photographic cut and paste jobs they usually do.

Surprise Surprise.

Yea, full playfield pictures already?? I really hope they tested and work out the kinks before fully releasing it. Transformers was kind of awful out of the box. Lots of ball searches and crazy air balls.....

The before and after pics are meant to show the moving bridge (ramp).

I don't see how that moving ramp clears the sling and spotlight. I didn't plan on buying this one, but I was very interested in how much Stern would up their game with some competition. I think it looks pretty bad... There isn't much to do, the gigantic Wolverine looks silly (Magneto isn't as bad due to its location) and only the LE gets what will likely be the coolest feature -the magnetic spinner.

Comments are all over the map on this, but its definitely not the home run people were expecting based on Stern using drawn comic art.

Its too difficult to really make out the flow of the game.

But it does look interesting.   The moving ramp is a dud though, Imo.  It looks cheesy, and does not really add any excitement or value.

If it were me, Id make a thin plastic ice rail gapping the field, and use a diverter to a make the ball go down its pathway.

The rails would be two thin metal wires (or a simpsons V rail), with molded plastic icicles covering the underside of it.. and lit up with blue LEDs when active.

Edit:  Hmmm, maybe silicone icicles would be better.  Less likely to be broken with airballs.

Edit2: Ohh, and Magneto is a great character for Pinball.  If he is backed with a high power magnet and or kicker... to both capture and or Send the ball rocketing towards you... that would really be cool.

However, if they cheap out and use those stupid adams family random magnet toys... then forget it.

Edit3: Hmm, nice, seems to share some features and qualities with Med.Madness.
There looks to be pop up enemies.  (I recognize one of the ramps as well)  And some of the shots look similar.

Yeah, those toys seem way too big to me.

However, Magneto using magnets to affect the ball seems like an awesome thing to me.
Someone that played it at E3 on a Stern factory tour and  said the magnet effects are definitely cool and not like the Addam's Family magnet (which I also love).  They are used to lock the balls, I believe.

Edit: corrected location

+1 to magneto and magnets.

I think it would be also badass to incorporate some sort of gravity well like the old Orbitor-1 machine, although I think that would be more work than stern would want to put into it. It would just be awesome to see the ball circling around over and over as if it was in Magneto's control. Would be a much cooler use field space than big ol' wolverine.
