New RGB "Hoku" buttons and Joysticks
« on: May 23, 2012, 01:24:31 am »
I know some people have been following in other threads, but we just released a bunch of new stuff.
I would like to announce the Hoku buttons.  These buttons shine like the full moon (hoku in Hawaiian) and can be combined with our Pele Led Rings to light up your control panel.  The Pele rings were designed to take current or voltage control, with no buttons modifications and convenient .100 pin connectors for wiring.

We also have added a full line of RGB Joystick ball tops to our line up and look forward to people's pictures from their arcades!

We are working on some better lit buttons pics, but here you go for now!

And finally, some RGB joystick action!

Very nice! Looking forward to the matching 3" trackball kit and bat tops!  Then...monster order!   :)

BTW, do the LED rings come with any kind of wiring?  If not, do these buttons work well with any of the other (less expensive) pre-wired RGB LEDs that you offer?

Did you do anything to address joystick twisting & breaking the wires?

I thought this was dealt with, and the sticks were sent.  I have a few set aside for myself and if Susan has not resent them I will have her pull from that stash, I am not sure why you didn't get a response, I thought she had handled this.

yeah, but have you tried to buy them without having to buy a harness? I have other illuminated buttons and a controller that needs them as well as other things that need them, they are hard to find.

Sorry, MM.  Forgot you were in Australia.

Try these suppliers if shipping from Hawaii is too high.
(Standard Caveat Emptor disclaimer here, since I haven't dealt directly with any of them.)

Molex distributors in Australia: http://www.molex.com/molex/contact/mxcontact.jsp?pageTitle=Distributors%20-%20Australia&filename=austdist.html&langPref=en-US&channelId=-7&channel=Contact%20Us

http://australia.rs-online.com/web/ -- Pretty sure you can find the pins and housing you want here.  Quick search with ".1 molex" looked promising.

Bryan,

Can you put just the RGB balls up for order on the website?  I'm in need of a replacement. Mine did not survive a 6 foot drop to concrete with the shaft attached.

Word to the wise... Make sure your nuts are on BEFORE flipping the control panel upside down.  :banghead:

What are you doing! These are made out of the same material that is used for pool balls...

They are on the site here:

However, just email Susan, we can send you one for the cost of shipping, if, you take some good pictures when you are done with the install!
