This is for use after removing the leaky old battery on your power board. I ordered a few extra chips when I got mine. $17.50 to your door by USPS 1st class mail (no export, NO SUPPORT, no returns). These are the Dallas brand chips. I found the mod was easy and worked perfectly on the first try. PM for paypal info.

Instructions: Power off the game and remove the main circuit board stack (3 board sandwich). Replace the 6116 (might be a 61LP16 or another similar device) ram chip on the board with the supplied chip, taking note that the notch orientation on the old chip goes toward the same side as the + on the new chip. Below is the chip location, found on the middle board of the three board stack (main CPU board) for each MCR game:

Kick: D8
Kick-Man: D8
Solar Fox: D8
Satan's Hollow: B2
Tron: B2
Kozmik Krooz'r: B2
Domino Man: B2
Wacko: B2
Two Tigers: B2
Journey: B2
Tapper: 6B
Timber: 6B
Discs of Tron: 6B
NFL: 6B
Demolition Derby: 6B

The following mod only needs to be done if your machine is acting up on restarts after installing the chip. I didn't need to do this and many others have reported the same:

After replacing the chip, locate the 20-pin connector J1 leading to the boardset. This is the main power connector. Locate the +VBATT wire at J1-pin 16, usually a grey wire and pop that out of the connector. Take one of the +5VDC wires, usually a red wire, from either J1-pin 2, J1-pin 3, or J1-pin 4 and pop it out of the connector. Re-insert it where the +VBATT wire was located.

Install the PCB and power on the game.

Here's a thread that covers this mod.

Here's a post that shows the location of the battery that ruins your power board:
