Robotron, i love that game,God knows i do, but cant seem to past more then 9 screens, and getting into screen 9 its a big deal for me...
Another game which needs the proper controllers. You need the original Wico 8way Leaf Switch joysticks. They have smooth round restriction, effortless centering via a rubber centering pivot system, and the leafs are less fatiguing and quicker to actuate than micros. Which severely is needed in this relentless game.
The other thing you have to do, is to get as many humans as possible. If you get them consecutively, you get more and more points per human... and can rack up a lot of extra men this way. In particular, on the Brain stages. You can rack up enough men on the brain stages to get you to the next brain stage.. and thus keeping you alive thru many many rounds.
Theres enough Tips on this game to take up several pages... so Ill leave you to research this on your own.
Cant play q-bert at all...---fudgesicle--- q-bert who had the great idea to turn the control a little bit to mak-it more hard to play.
Actually, turning the controller should make it easier to play. Which is why it was done like that.
However, I never liked that game much, so never cared to get good at it. IMOP, its not really fun. Its just painful, awkward, and slow feeling... and no real great reward for all that effort.
im an ok fast pacman player, but for ms pacman,
The difference between a good player and a great one, is usually the level of details you get into. For example, you can pass the first level easily and quickly.. but an expert player might spend more time getting all 4 ghosts to multiply the bonus scores on all 4 power pellets. Additionally, they will eat all the fruit. This is best done on the beginner levels, because in the later levels the power pellets are too quick to do this with. The time of the pellets is cyclic I believe.. so you have to know the pattern, and how much time you have to play with. If you get all the extra points, you have a chance at getting more men... and thus staying alive longer.
The only other thing to do is to learn the patterns to avoid ghosts. Its something Id never do... cause my memory sucks... but to me, its also cheating, to play like that. Personally, I cant play standard speed. I have to use the speed-hack ms pacman to enjoy the game.
i dont have an idea of how to play defender i hate that game just because i dont have what it takes toplay it
I used to hate it... but now I really like the challenge of it.. even though it still stomps me.
Having a good button layout would really help with this game. Also, using reverse button, rather than mapping it to the other directions on the joystick, will yield better results. It just will take a little getting used to at first.
I think the key to these games, is that its the shear speed in response time that is the most challenging to you. Improvement wont come from a 5 to 10 minute bout. Not even years of that. It will have to come at hour or longer consecutive sessions. You really have to push yourself hard, to experience the next level stuff.
Of course, when you have done that, eventually you might get to the point where many of these games are not challenging enough. As remember, a lot of them were never really made to balance out past a 10min mark. They expected to whoop you off the machine in 1 to 5 min.
