list of games according to controller?

Hi guys
First post here.
I'm new to arcade cabinet building but have experience with woodworking and electronics (my main hobby is building music synthesizers).
I'm planning to start a bar-top cabinet to play classic 80's games. I was wondering if there is anywhere I can find a break down of games according to which are vertical games, games that use spinners, which games use 4 position vs 8 position joysticks, etc. thanks a lot.
