I have a gutted cab that does have a jamma wiring harness and crt monitor.  How would you wire the power from scratch?  What parts would you use and how would you ground it?  Thanks.

Most Excellent!!!!

I've actually read part of this months ago and thought "nice to know, but I have no use for this now."

So, if I have one of these (see pic) do I need the fuse and line filter in Bob Roberts example?  It is an EMI filter.  Is that the same?

Also, I have a switching power supply that states not to connect the earth ground to the field ground screw.  OK, so does the earth ground just go to the chassis of the power supply?  Then, what does the FG go to?

The IEC power input usually has a fuse holder built in but it is not an EMI filter.  AN EMI filter would be added to the circuit.  The power supply that you have says not to connect the FG or Earth ground to the Voltage ground.  The regular ground on the PS is GND in the wiring of you supply and should not be connected to the earth ground or frame gound.   These grounds are connected to the 120V gnd on you 3 wire power input.

This IEC says it has an EMI.  Does that replace the line filter?

See the pics.  If I'm not suppose to connect the chassis to the earth ground how am I to ground the machine and what does the FG go to?

Never mind on the grounding question.  I was reading it wrong.  FG does go to earth ground, but the chassis does not. :-[

If the iec power plug has an EMI filter built in you are good to go.

I just built one of Bob's Jamma power supply units (sans isolation transformer, since I'll be using a VGA monitor, more than likely). It's not hard to do, and you can get all the parts from him easily.
