Genre specific - what do you do?
« on: April 27, 2012, 12:25:28 pm »
Looking to create genres for my machine and undecided what is the best route to go down when it comes to games like Alien Storm etc. At the moment I have Beat em ups and Shoot em ups being the tricky part. When I think beat em ups it's games like Double Dragon and shoot em ups Raiden.

So games like that alongside street fighter etc seems a bit off  :dizzy: Don't want too many catagories but, any tips of how others have gone about it would be great

You could list DD and Alien Storm into a category for side scrollers.

Street Fighter isn't a beat'em up.  It's a Fighter. (I have them labelled Vs Fighters)

You could use "Run 'n Gun" for games like Alien Storm

That's exactly what I've just done, created a fighter list

Good idea with run n gun
