xbox 360 arcade stick help
« on: April 22, 2012, 05:30:39 pm »
Hi, im building an arcade stick for my brother using a 360 wireless remote i had seen some brief videos on how to do it, but i failed to notice that they use the dpad buttons to set ut the joystick. So i strip down the controll completely only left the battery leads. Now my question is, is it possible to set up the joystick using the anolog stick since i set it up that way. I read in a webside that the anlog sticks use variable resistors and without  them the controller thinks there been used. So when i test it the character is mostly crouching or running specials. I also read that u can neutralize this effect by addind resistors in place of the variable resistors. Thers even a post here of someone who were trying to turn the triggers  from analog to digital so im guessing itll b the same concept. Does anyone know if this is possible or would u guys just recommned to neutralize the anolog stick and use the dpad like everyone else?
